How important is a rope to adrowning man? What price do you put on "hope" for a human soul? The peopleof Belarus live in a world of darkness brought about by theirhistorical past and their pesimistic view of the future. To a certain extent, it's difficult to fault them for such a bleak outlook. The empty promises of Leninism and Marxism still cast long cold shadows across their land. Cultural atheism still holds millions of hearts in its icy grasp. Countless memorials of black metal and crumbling concrete, stand as stark reminders to the terrible tragedies suffered during WWII. Abandoned village churches stand dead and empty. Economic and political uncertainty prevails.

Can hope for a better life for Belarussians really exist? Can a firm foundation be found in uncertain times.Yes it can and it does! The people of Belarus are discovering that hope is available through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! "Hope for Every Heart" is more than a slogan, it is a promise that rings true for those who are turning to Christ. And they are turning! To date, a vast response among Belarussians has not been experienced. But across Belarus, young people and old, students and professionals, athiests and agnostics are turning to Christ. How? Through ESL courses, youth and children camps, seminars and outreach to families with special needs children, training conferences and discipleship courses for believers, short-term volunteer teams, and through partnering with Belarussian Baptists and other Great Commission Christians, Belarussians are finding Hope in Jesus Christ! Please pray for the people of Belarus, that their hearts will be open to the promises of the gospel. Pray that the barriers which separate them from the truth would be torn down, one wall at a time, so that they may be drawn closer to Christ. Pray for our field personnel as they daily seek to be incarnational witnesses to the love of God in Christ to those around them. YES, there is Hope for Every Heart in Belarus!
